In this paper we present a compilation of the most relevant computational results showing the existence and properties of a glass transition in colloidal systems with short range attractions, driven by the attractions. This transition is obtained for intermediate and high densities, upon increasing the attraction, in addition to the conventional hindrance driven glass transition at high density. A reentrant phenomenon from the repulsion driven glass to the fluid and to the attraction driven glass is described. The properties of the attraction driven glass are studied in some detail, and the connection with colloidal gels is discussed.
