Resumen


A compact quantum key distribution system based on entangled photons has been constructed and demonstrated. The experiment established a secure key over a free space channel between two sites separated by 1.5 km. The data was adquired during 10 uninterrumpted hours and produced on average 630 bit s–1 after basis reconciliation and privacy amplification.
