Efecto de la irradiación sobre el metano.

In this article we study the IR spectra of metlwne as deposited, during and after ion irradiation, and after temperature increasing. The results obtained show that part of deposited methane decomposes under ion irradiation and implies the formation of ethane, propane, butane, ethylene, acetylene and other species. After temperature increasing volatile compounds sublimate, but a solid refractory organic residue is left over. The evolutionof the IR spectrum of the residuum under further irradiation has been also studied.
