Resumen


Magnetoencephalography (MEG) is a noninvasive brain mapping technique used to measure the magnetic fields produced by neuronal electrical activity. It offers a unique tool for studying the spatio-temporal evolution of both spontaneous and evoked brain dynamics. In this article we review the main characteristics of the instrumental technique, the computational methods for interpreting the experimental data, and the contributions of MEG to face up to the main brain research challenges.
